What About Ravi?
Jesus said in Matt. 15:13-14, “Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up. Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.”
You have found yourself here at the Passion Conference. There is going to be a number of speakers and singers that you don’t really know! Presenting themselves before you as men and women of God! Preaching many words and singing many songs that might have some pretense of truth! But what about their lives?
Did you know you can profess to know God but in works deny Him? (Titus 1:16) Did you know there are grave spiritual consequences of unholy men in leadership?!
“For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake... Ye are witnesses, and God also, how holily and justly and unblameably we behaved ourselves among you that believe.” – I Thess. 1:5; 2:10
Do you see Paul’s reasoning here! God-sent preachers who are abiding in the beauties of holiness preach the gospel that saves men!
What about the contrary? What if the men and women that you have come to see today are actually unholy? Do you know the spiritual consequences for your subjection to their ministry?
II Cor. 6:14-7:1, teaches us that a failure to separate from all known unholiness (in ourselves as well as others) results in God refusing to receive US as children! I Cor. 5, teaches us that tolerating even one man in willful sin will leaven and destroy the whole church unless that man’s sins are judged and the man is excommunicated or brought to repentance.
II Pet. 2:19, teaches that if you submit to false teachers you will be brought into bondage to their sins! Matt. 15:14, warns us that if you follow blind men you will fall into the ditch with them!
The scripture does not say, “Follow peace with all men — period.” No!... “AND holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord” (Heb. 12:14).
Many more fearful scriptures can be cited to show the consequences of those who refuse this way of holiness.
What should you do in regards to such false teachers?
“Withdraw thyself...” – II Thess. 3:6; I Tim. 6:5 “Come out...” – Rev. 18:4
“Receive not...” – II John 1:10
“Cut off...” – Gal. 5:12
“Mark them and avoid them...” – Rom. 16:17
Have you ever heard these things in your church? Do you expect to hear something like this today at this conference? Do these commandments seem serious to you?
Just two years ago there was a man named Ravi Zacharias, a well known and esteemed preacher who was welcomed in the conference you now attend. This same man had been living a secret double life of SEXUAL SIN for many years! This man was committing adultery and manipulating women all over the world to fulfill his sinful desires! All the while preaching about the power of the gospel! Pretending to be a man who is above reproach, while living a life of lies and exceeding hypocrisy!
This man used money gifted to his ministry to procure his lusts and to secure his reputation before men! Some of the money that helped secure this man’s reputation – or fund his perverted crusades – could have come from your pocket or the pocket of your parents! Surely you imagined the money was for the poor and needy, but, in fact, was in part used to lead poor women into the clutches of prostitution!
It is sad that there wasn’t even one man who would have questioned this man’s conduct and discovered his secret iniquity! God knew the whole time! Wasn’t there one man or woman who was close to God to perceive this darkness masquerading as light! (II Cor. 11) Ravi went to hell earlier this year and before his sins came to the light, many among the leadership of the Passion Conference commended this man as a great hero of the faith. Only to discover four months later that they were all deceived when the revelation of Ravi’s secret life of sin was exposed and was later overwhelmingly proven by a private investigation!
Was there anyone seeing the wickedness of this man? Was the Lord offering any warnings to those that would submit to his ministry? YES! We have been laboring to show the sins of this abominable conference since 2016! Which just so happened to be Ravi’s first appearance at Passion!
“Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets: she crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city she uttereth her words, saying, How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge? Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you. Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; but ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof!”
– Prov. 1:20-25
What does the Bible have to say about the life and sin of Ravi Zacharias? “Whoremongers [i.e. keepers of prostitutes] and adulterers God will judge!” – Heb. 13:4
“Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.” – I Cor. 6:9,10
“But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not...” – II Pet. 2:1-3
So what now? Are you planning to sit under the new preachers that Loui Giglio puts before you today? Will you trust the discernment of a man who called Ravi “one of God’s most amazing vessels on earth”! Will you listen to a man who has no public comment or apology for encouraging everyone to follow and financially support a man who was sexually abusing and coercing women worldwide even in this very city of Atlanta!
How can Passion claim to care about the renown of Christ, or even “social justice”, while they don’t care enough to clear the name of God from this man’s abominations that he did in the name of Christ?! So, will Loui Giglio just go on with is multi-million dollar scam as though he has done no evil?!
“For this ye know, that no whoremonger [i.e. keeper of prostitutes], nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Be not ye therefore partakers with them...And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.” – Eph 5:5-7,11,12
Will you march with the blind multitudes into the wrath of God, following the blind teachers of this generation? Dear friend, the ditch is before you — turn while there is hope!
